{"id":150,"date":"2012-03-17T05:01:37","date_gmt":"2012-03-17T05:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.joshuastairhime.com\/?p=150"},"modified":"2013-04-17T05:07:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-17T05:07:10","slug":"150","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.joshuastairhime.com\/index.php\/150\/","title":{"rendered":"Greater things&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/38667025\" height=\"281\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This particular film is for me a study in the difference between &#8220;as scripted&#8221; and &#8220;as shot&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>You will notice that the initial talent are all carrying bricks. \u00a0You will also notice at the end, that the bricks are nowhere to be found. \u00a0I totally forgot to bring the bricks for our last day of shooting.<\/p>\n<p>I also learned that using a monopod for an effects shot is a HORRIBLE idea. \u00a0Even if you think it will save you some time on site, you will pay for it heavily in results or in post.<\/p>\n<p>One of these days I&#8217;ll track down the original script that was pretty different. \u00a0It got a little &#8220;designed by committee&#8221; and lost most of it&#8217;s teeth by the end. \u00a0At least I think it did.<\/p>\n<p>I really think the timelapses it opens with are the best shots in the film, although I do like the tone in the poolside scene with my friend Carter holding a brick.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\"><div class=\"robots-nocontent sd-block sd-social sd-social-icon sd-sharing\"><h3 class=\"sd-title\">Did you enjoy what you just read?
