{"id":166,"date":"2012-02-13T02:01:50","date_gmt":"2012-02-13T02:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.joshuastairhime.com\/?p=166"},"modified":"2013-04-19T02:11:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-19T02:11:10","slug":"haiti-day-5-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.joshuastairhime.com\/index.php\/haiti-day-5-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Haiti Day 5 (2012)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Today was a solid day&#8230;I was blessed to get the things I wanted on tape.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We started the day in church&#8230;worship was exciting and worthwhile. \u00a0I miss Dayspring, but really enjoyed the &#8220;Church of Hope&#8221; again this year. \u00a0The tour of the compound was excellent&#8230;lots of good information and encouraging results.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>After church and lunch, we jumped on the bus for Bercy and Leveque. \u00a0Bercy has big plans in store for it, but frankly Leveque is my favorite place in Haiti. \u00a0Leveque is the site of MOH500 and where the three homes that Shelter 127 have worked on have been built.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I got to wander around in Leveque mostly unsupervised for the first time ever. \u00a0We were of course in teams of at least 2, but Mike, Matt, Ryan, and Joel were all willing to oblige my desires and allow me to drag them to various points around the village. \u00a0Lots of awesomely cool stuff to see and video tape. \u00a0 I got to use the steadicam as well, and even survived tripping and falling backwards over some bricks. \u00a0Ryan helped out by running the second camera.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Later back at the compound, we had time for 4-6 interviews, and there was so much good material that it will be difficult to wade through everything or keep everything I want to keep. \u00a0I was really impressed by the way our trip affects everyone differently. \u00a0 Kori worked with a cholera patient in another orphanage today, and Rita decided it was time to sponsor a student. \u00a0Ryan made some great statements, and all around there was just a lot of great answers and statements.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tonight I listen to a symphony of snoring&#8230;music to my ears as I have recorded it for future generations&#8230;I shot over 128 GBs of footage today. \u00a0It was a great day.<\/div>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\"><div class=\"robots-nocontent sd-block sd-social sd-social-icon sd-sharing\"><h3 class=\"sd-title\">Did you enjoy what you just read?
